Hi all,

Season's Greetings! I'm back in warm (yes, relatively) Colorado from my
latest Antarctic adventure, guiding a group at an Emperor Penguin rookery -
where we flew in and camped for a week

- one of the most amazing experiences this planet has to offer....

Anyways, I was back "on the hill" (Snowmass ski area) yesterday, Wednesday
21 Dec and pleased to report that the Aspen SkiCo is again filling
birdfeeders this season - thanks ski-co !

Every Wednesday when I am around I offer FREE guiding for birding at
Snowmass - meet 11am at the top of the Sam's Knob chairlift..

Email me off list for further details, lift ticket prices, other local
birding opportunities

Yesterday there was a good flock of Rosy-Finches

100+Brown-capped Rosy Finches

20+ Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches - mainly Hepburn's

Other birds included Pine Grosbeak, Mountain Chickadee, Gray Jay

In the yard today we had 40+Pinyon Jays..

Good birding all
