Hi Colorado birders, I am going to be in Colorado the first week of January and I will be going skiing in the mountains at Keystone and will be in Centennial for a few days. Rosy Finches are my main target birds for the trip and I was planning on checking the Elk Thistle Drive feeders in Silverthorne. I was wondering if anyone had checked there lately or if there were any other reliable locations for them near there. Also, I noticed on ebird that there are several White-tailed Ptarmigan reports from the Loveland Pass in April, is that road open in the winter? Other birds I would like to see are Three-toed Woodpecker, Townsend's Solitare, Northern Pygmy Owl, and Harris's Sparrow, any info on where to find them would be appreciated. Another bird I was wondering about was Canyon Wren, is it possible at Red Rocks in the winter?
