Greetings All,
I owe the Colorado birding community a big THANK YOU for making me feel so welcome since I arrived this past February (2011). Many people that I've never met, did not know, sent me little welcoming emails that helped me feel that I had found my home here. There are so many folks to thank, I really know not where to begin. The main burden of my arrival here was suffered via a stream of emails asking questions about where to go birding and about the status and distribution of birds in Colorado. The folks who bore the main brunt of this burden were Ted Floyd, Rachel Hopper, Tony Leukering, Christian Nunes, Mark Peterson, Bill Schmoker, and Chris Wood -- Thanks much for making my first year (well, 10 months :o) here a birding wonderland. Along similar lines, I've managed to inflict myself upon Alison Hilf, Joey Kellner, Loch Kilpatrick, Nick Komar, David Leatherman, Brandon Percival, Joe Roller, Tim Smart, and Glenn Walbeck. Thanks for your companionship, in person, virtual, or both. I am sure my sleep deprived brain is forgetting more than one important colleague, so please forgive me. 2011 was wanting in only one way: Larry Semo's company. Again, thanks for folding me into the fold, and tolerating my wandering emails and multitude of questions.
