Hi cobirders went this afternoon to the trading post at Red Rocks
and put out some seed and at 3Pm moved back a ways.
Very soon the birds came as follows. Still warm but cooling fast in
the shade.
Black-capped Chickadees 10
Western Scrub Jay 2
Spotted Towhee 1
Junco- Gray Headed 8
" - Pink-sided 3
" -Oregon 1
House Sparrow 6
House Finch 2
White-crowned Sparrow 1 ( 1st winter -brown head stripes)
Fox Sparrow 1 ( typical red breast
stripes)
The Golden-crowned Sparrow didn't come out. Maybe it was fed up or
way back in the bushes.
a nice half hour.
