Hi cobirders. Seems if a bird comes to my yard for 10 minutes I
should be able to Id. it. But I couldn't so hope it comes again.
It was down in the Chokecherry by the kitchen. It was all fluffed
up and larger than the small birds. It took two bites of snow
and moved up in better light. It had a straight bill, black, long.
The head mostly blue but not bright, dark eye. Its tail was black,
long and kind of scruffy. It did not go to the feeder nearby that
had seeds.
It flew off and up into the Russian Olive and soon moved to the top
of he utility pole.
Well if any one has an idea I would welcome them.
