Marilyn Rhodes called to report good news! Today after 11 AM she found the large, white, adult, (probably female) Snowy Owl alive and well in the field just north of the green electrical box on 138th Avenue, just west of Harvest Road, Adams County.
This is a demonstration of the Lazarus effect, as a bird matching that description was reportedly found dead near Pena Boulevard recently. Marilyn was thrilled to find the owl, as it brought to mind Tom Sawyer's experience when he attended his own funeral, "The rumors of my death were greatly exaggerated." Kudos to Marilyn for braving the nasty weather to search the area. Joe Roller, Denver -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
