Hi Cobirders, Late this morning, Mary Burger and I saw 6 or so male Mountain Bluebirds perching on mullein stalks on the east side of the main road south of the Tower Loop at the NE section of Cherry Creek State Park. They were moving quickly in a southerly direction and made a beautiful flash of blue in the sunny but windy conditions. They were our first Mountain Bluebirds for this year. We also saw 2 mature Bald Eagles still hanging around the reservoir, which was ice-free.
