Good morning All,

Went out owling early this morning and stopped by the feeders at the Red Rocks Trading Post about 6:30 A.M. Around 6:41 Ben Kemena and I watched the Golden-crowned Sparrow put in an appearance in the flat area just south of the upper apple tree. Posed for a couple of photos before disappearing back into the brush.

I was looking/listening for Eastern Screech Owls on the west side of town. I have found Eastern Screech Owls along the S. Platte River and on the east side of the S. Platte, but have not been able to locate any on the western side. I have made numerous attempts over the past several years to locate Eastern Screech Owls along Bear Creek and Clear Creek without success. I know at one time there was a pair in the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt, but don't believe they are still there. Would be interested in knowing of any Eastern Screech Owls on the west side of Denver.
