Hey all,

This evening (4-21) my wife and I went to enjoy the sunset and see if there
were any new arrivals at North Shields Natural Area in Fort Collins. I was
surprised to find a SAGE SPARROW chasing grasshoppers and other insects
along the ground on the east side of the back pond (Sterling Lake?).
Here's a link to a map of where I saw it. http://tinyurl.com/84k2gnh The
Sage Sparrow was seen from 7:30 to about 7:45PM. It moved into shrubs
along the fence twice as I watched it. When we left, the bird was still
foraging on the ground, chasing insects and sometimes jumping into the air
to catch one. All the time it had it's tail in the air and looked exactly
like the painting by Sibley.
