After the unsettled and rainy weather we had yesterday, Chico Basin Ranch was quite birdy this morning. Highlights for me for the day:
Headquarters (Pueblo County) Indigo Bunting Rose-breasted Grosbeak (2) Yellow Warbler Common Yellowthroat Orange Crown Warbler Audobon's Warbler Empid species Rose Pond (Pueblo County) Red-necked Phalarope (5) among at least 50 Wilson Phalarope in addition to a few dowichers, Greater Yellowlegs, Spotted Sandpipers. An absolutely beautiful, cool and calm spring day on the high plains of Colorado.
