Hi COBirders, Banding report for CHico Basin Ranch, Tuesday 5/8/12. Note the station was closed for weather yesterday. Today was great. Cool, calm, overcast, and birds were moving early, and all day until closing at 1pm. We probably could have stayed open and caught more, but it was a real low rate of capture late - just lots of thrushes still moving through the grove (El Paso County)
Mostly larger birds were caught early - thrush, catbirds, towhees, then later in the morning we started catching sparrows, wrens, warblers, and a kinglet. New Banded birds today - 72 - real good day.
