Cobirders,

This morning Eric Zorawowicz and I birded the Sawhill-Walden Ponds
Complex. Overall, migration was very slow with a distinct lack of warblers,
other
than yellow, and sparrows. The complete ebird checklist is below. The
highlights were 2 green herons and a singing Warbling Vireo (Eastern).

Additionally we stopped at Boulder Creek along 75th Street where it was
great to see a successful American dipper nesting operation. The parents were
feeding a begging juvenile. Photos can be seen on my flickr site.

On my way home I was also able to observe one male bobolink in the fields
north of Baseline (Bobolink Trail Area).

Baseline Reservoir was quiet compared to recent days with only a few
American white pelicans, ring-billed gulls, ducks, and the omni-present
immature
bald eagle.
