Things are starting to pick up here in Lakewood. Yesterday, we had a four male
hummer day including Black-chinned (most common), Broad-tailed, Rufous, and
Calliope. The dispersing Bullock's are traveling through the neighborhood,
large groups of Bushtits are moving through again, and we has an early male
Western Tanager eating Buckthorn berries in the backyard. It will be
interesting to see how the fires and drought conditions affect this year's fall
migration...
