The memorial service for Joyce Gellhorn, naturalist, teacher, explorer and alpine guru for many of us, will be on Sunday the 12th at 1 pm, C.U. Mountain Research Station (just west of Peak to Peak Hwy north of Nederland).
She was curious, eclectic, optimistic, generous, a wonderful author (her memoirs will come out this fall) and an indomitable spirit. Few of us who knew her will ever face a camping or hiking challenge in the mountains without invoking her spirit to help us out. And she will answer.
