Hello All,

This morning Chuck Aid, Rob Raker, and I visited Belmar Historic Park in Lakewood. We looked at many Yellow-rumped Warblers (mostly Audubon) during the morning and in one mixed flock picked out a bright yellow male Pine Warbler. The prominent white wing bars alerted us to something unusual, and we were able to get good looks of the male pine Warbler. Other birds of note included a Ruby-crowned Kinglet in another mixed flock and a Clay-colored Sparrow. The Osprey also put on quite a show diving into the lake several times. Most of the birds we saw were on the west and south sides of the lake. The flock with the Pine Warbler was on the west side of the lake.

While walking my dog tonight in Willow Springs, I saw two Red-naped Sapsuckers in what was once the old Western Bible Institute campus (just north of the 8th hole on the Red Rocks Golf Course).
