An incredible day! Working in partnership with the technical wizards from
DMNS, we had a live feed into classrooms, showing birds and answering
questions from school kids. Three sessions with multiple schools, literally
from coast to coast, culminating in a 4th session with kids from Aurora in
the auditorium at the Museum. Reached ~700 kids. And, with the help of an
expanded group of volunteers, we managed to catch and band 50 birds of many
species. They just kept bringing in cool ones - our 2nd Winter Wren, 2
White-throated Sparrows, a very late Redstart, our FOS Philadelphia Vireo
and Field Sparrow. Here's the breakdown:

Philadelphia Vireo 1 (6th ever - 2 last year, 1 the year before,
then it's back to 1 in 97 and 1 in 89!)

House Wren 1 (Speaking of late...)

Winter Wren 1

Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1

Hermit Thrush 6

Orange-crowned Warbler 3

Yellow-rumped Warbler, Myrtle 1

Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 2

American Redstart 1

Field Sparrow 1 (3rd ever - 1 last year, the other in 1996!)

Lincoln's Sparrow 1

White-throated Sparrow 2
