Hello COBirders,

I visited Jackson Reservoir this afternoon and found some of the shorebirds
mentioned by Joey Kellner & Mark Miller a week ago, including American
Golden-Plover.
Three flocks of Sandhill Cranes flew overhead--a Bald Eagle too, which
riled the shorebirds.
A good place to scope is north of point 17 on the dam wall per Mark Miller,
where wall repairs are in progress. I hopped over the wall and stepped down
the dam blocks with caution to get a little closer.

I also hiked the west side of the reservoir, about three miles one-way,
where I noticed a few pinkish Franklin’s Gulls and a couple of AMGP.
Here is an 9-photo slide show from today: http://bit.ly/SResYf
