Yesterday, Thursday 10/11, at 1147 AM, I had 125 cranes high overhead at Holly and Orchard, Centennial/Arapahoe, reorganizing into a V. Might these be the same ones seen shortly before this at 120th? Yard birds of note today (location as above) and recently: today - male and female spotted towhees; 16 robins, 12 blue jays, 2 imm wh-cr sparrows, two red-w blackbirds, 2 Brewer's 1 imm grackle Townsend's solitaires last 4 days Downy woodp yesterday, hairy the day before, flickers daily Sun 10/7 to Tues 10/9: A Cooper's hawk sat on my feeder several times each day (adult); no captures seen 10/11 - two separate high-flying migrating sharp-shinned hawks red-br nuthatches intermittently last 10 days; wh-br Mon 10/8; pygmy Fri 10/5 15 wh-cr sparrows 10/9; ratio 3;2 ad:imm; also one chipping one clay colored sp 10/3 no evidence of hummingbirds for 12 days
