Arapahoe County:
--An imm Harris's Sparrow was reported by Tina Jones at Hudson Gardens near
the bank S Platte River on November 4.  It was near the Cafe which is next
to the bike trail.  Hudson Gardens is at 6115 S Santa Fe.

Bent County:
--Duane Nelson reported red Fox Sparrow and Red-belllied Woodpecker visited
his feeders on November 6.  Birders are welcome if you contact him first.
 His e-mail is dnelson1 AT centurytel.net  On November 7, Nelson reported
Fox and Harris's Sparrows at his feeders.
--Duane Nelson reported from Adobe Creek Reservoir (Blue Lake) at the S end
3 American Golden-Plovers, and 3 Dunlin.
Drive W from CR 10 on CR UU to dam and drive approximately 1 m N on 2 track
to edge S of lake.

Boulder County:
--An ad Thayer's Gull was reported by Nunes at Sixmile Reservoir in Boulder
on November 3.
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Nunes at Boulder Reservoir on November 4.
--A Swamp Sparrow was reported by Nunes along Boulder Creek W of 75th St on
November 4.
--8 Common Redpolls were reported by Guarente at McIntosh Lake in Longmont
on November 6.  They were near the shoe near the SE boat ramp.

Douglas County:
--A 1st year White-throated Sparrow has been visiting the feeders at the
home of Royce Beatty in Castle Rock since November 2.
Birders are welcome to try to see the bird which can be viewed from
adjacent Open Space.  His address is 3857 Miners Candle Place.  If you want

Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Walbek W From Fisherman's Pier on
October 30.  Kibbe refound the Red-necked Grebe at Chatfield on November 4
N of the sand spit..
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Walbek at Chatfield SP on November 1.
--An imm Harris's Sparrow was reported by Henwood on the trail E of Boat
Marina at Chatfield on November 5.

Jackson County:
--A pair of TUNDRA SWANS was reported by Dodson on Lake John in North Park
on November 4.

Jefferson County:
--2 Common Redpolls were reported by Balais and Tuesday Birders at Prospect
Park in Wheatridge on November 6.  They were past the bridge, approximately
200 yards on west side by birch/alder catkins.
--A Common Redpoll was reported by Breitsch at Golden Gate Canyon SP at
Ralston Roost Picnic Area on November 7.

Larimer County:
--A 1st winter Harris's Sparrow has been visiting the yard of Sean Walters
in Loveland since October 26.  If you would like to
try to see it contact him at waltersintherockies AT gmail.com.  Walters
reported on October 31 that the Harris's Sparrow was seen again.
--An AMERICAN WOODCOCK was reported by Rashid at the Sanctuary on the W
side of Lake Estes on November 7.

Montezuma County:
--Two White-winged Scoters were reported by Rees at Totten Reservoir near
Cortez on November 4.
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Jim Beatty in the SW corner of Totten
Reservoir on November 6.

Prowers County:
--A m Red-bellied Woodpecker was reported by Leatherman at Willow Valley
Subdivision E of Willow Creek Park in Lamar on November 5.
 --An ad Harris's Sparrow was reported by Leatherman at Riverside Cemetery
in Lamar on November 5.
--At Lamar Community College Woods (LCCW) Leatherman reported Carolina Wren
and m Northern Cardinal on November 5.
--At Thurston Reservoir on November 5, Leatherman reported 1 Dunlin.  On
November 7, Leatherman reported at Thurston that the Dunlin continues and
has been joined by an imm Thayer's Gull.

Pueblo County:
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Percival at Pueblo Reservoir off the
Sailboard Lauching Area on November 1.
--An ad Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Percival by the S Marina
tires at Pueblo Reservoir on November 1.  On November 2, Percival reported
a Lesser Black-backed Gull swimming off the Sailboard Launching Area in the
morning and one at the S Marina tires in the afternoon.  On November 3, at
S Shore Marina tires, Percival reported 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 1
Thayer's Gull.  On November 5, Percival reported Lesser Black-backed Gull
at S shore marina tires.
 --At Valco Ponds on November 1, Percival reported 2 White-throated
Sparrows and 1 Swamp Sparrow.
--At Pueblo City Park on November 1, Percival reported 1 m YELLOW-BELLIED
SAPSUCKER.  Drummond reported  1 ad m YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER by the Big
Oak near the ravine in SE corner of Pueblo City Park on November 3.  On
November 4, Percival reported ad m YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER at Pueblo City
Park.
--At Pueblo Reservoir near the dam Percival reported f type White-winged
Scoter and Pacific Loon on November 5.
--A Pine Warbler was reported by Percival at Pueblo City Park W of the pond
on November 7.

Rio Blanco County:
--A TUNDRA SWAN was reported by Andy Thompson on a pond below the
intersection of Hwy 13 and Hwy 64 W of Meeker on November 4.

Sedgwick County:
--A Red-bellied Woodpecker was reported by Leatherman in Ovid woods along
the creek N and S of SR 138 on November 2.

Washington County:
--A pair of Rusty Blackbirds was reported by Tina Jones at Last Chance on
October 31.

Weld County:
--Lapland Longspurs were reported by Lefko on November 5 on CR 33 between
CR 100 and CR 98 with Horned Larks.

Yuma County:
--At Wray Fish Hatchery/Stallker Pond on November 2, Leatherman reported
Red-belllied Woodpecker.
--At Beecher Island N of Bonny Reservoir on November 2, Leatherman reported
Red-bellied Woodpecker, Swamp Sparrow and 2 Harris's Sparrows.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, November 10 will be to Castlewood Canyon
State Park and Kingery's bird feeders led by Hugh and Urling Kingery
(303-589-4431).  Meet leaders at 0800 at CO 86 and Castlewood Canyon Road
(Douglas CR 51).  The group may bird in the Park, the local gravel pits and
other local places depending on bird activity.  The walking portion will
involve a two mile walk or so, depending on the birds and the group.  Bring
lunch and your state parks pass.  Group will eat lunch while watching the
feeders at the Kingery's.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, November 11 will be to Longmont Area led by
Chris Owens (303-772-6048).  Meet leader at 0800 at Jim Hamm Park.  From
I-25 take Exit  240.  Go W 4 miles on CO 119 to Boulder/Weld County Line
Road, then north 2 miles to Jim Hamm Park at 17th Ave.  This will be a 3/4
day trip ending about 2 pm so bring lunch and extra water.  Be sure to
dress for Colorado weather.
