My husband, Jamie, and I were on our Wintering Raptor Survey route ( East
County ) this morning and saw a large adult Sandhill Crane standing alone
in a field, about 500 yards from the road we were on ( 115th ) around 11:30
am. The location of the bird was on 115th street approximately .5 miles
south of the intersection with CO 52. The field was a harvested corn field
to the west of 115th.
Here's a link to the picture I took...sorry it's blurry, but hey...it was a
good ways out there.
