My wife and I went for a brisk walk at Jim Baker Reservoir in Adams county yesterday and were a pleasantly surprised to find 24 Western Grebes on the water snoozing in the late day sun. Also of note a raft of around 150 Common Mergansers, a pair of Ospreys buzzing the Northern Shovelers. Also A bald Eagle showed up and frightened all the Mergansers into a pretty long dive. A pair of American Kestrels were actively hunting. Pretty breezy afternoon so not a lot of action
