A small group of us on a Boulder Bird CLub trip (originally scheduled for the Fowler Trail In Eldorado Canyon State Park) visited the Sawhill Ponds area then went to Cottonwood Marsh this morning. Highlights were: A pair of Peregrine Falcons posing in a tree so that we all got great looks through the scope, 4 White-faced Glossy Ibis, at least 10 White Pelicans, one gorgeous Horned Grebe, a Greater Yellowlegs, an Osprey sitting on the platform at Sawhill, Say's Phoebe, Marsh Wren and a gabby Great-tailed Grackle at Cottonwood, all three species of teal on various lakes, Turkey Vulture, and a distant Bald Eagle. Many other species of duck and resident birds are scattered in the area.
A complete list will be submitted to E-Bird. Paula Hansley Louisville -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
