Hi all, Several birders were at Chico Basin Ranch (fee area) this morning. Highlights were:
Seen by Steve Mlodinow, Nick Moore, and I: El Paso County side (banding station/Eagle Grove): Black-and-white Warbler - 1 male singing Black-throated Gray Warbler - 1 female or imm. male (Nick found it) Cassin's Vireo - 1 singing (Steve and Nick found it) Gray-cheeked Thrush - 1 (Steve saw it) Common Poorwill - 1 Seen by Steve, Nick, and I, as well as Jeannie Mitchell, Cici & Suke Lee and Gary Koehn) Pueblo County side (HQ): CAPE MAY WARBLER - 1 male Magnolia Warbler - 1 female/imm. male Blackpoll Warbler - 1 female Ovenbird - 1 Red-eyed Vireo - 1 Gray-headed Junco - 1 Mississippi Kite - 1 Greater White-fronted Goose - 2 Snow Goose - 1 Seen by Steve, Nick, and I, as well as Jeannie Mitchell, Cici & Suke Lee and Gary Koehn) Rose Pond, Pueblo County: CAPE MAY WARBLER - 1-2 males (checking the photos to see how many we saw today on the Ranch American Redstart - 1 singing young male Veery - 1 Horned Grebe - 1 14 species of warblers were seen.
