The huge gull flock at Aurora Rerservoir on Saturday afternoon was best viewed from the dam area. Light was better from the west side, but gulls were closer to the east side. Highlights were: Lesser Black-backed Gull - at least 2 adults, 1 2nd cycle, 1 first cycle Iceland Gull - two 2nd cycle "Kumlien's" gulls, one bigger than the other Glaucous Gull - 4 1st cycle, 3 of which were very white California Gull - 1 adult Thayer's Gulls - several juvs and at least one adult Low quality photos of the immature Iceland Gulls are posted online at www.pbase.com/quetzal/rarebirds .
