Hi Cobirders. Last Friday while putting out seed for the birds a large Crow
came with squalls on the top of the utility pole. So what was different.
It had a large white patch on its wing. The new edition of Sibley's large
Guide came Sunday as a birthday present so checked Crows and sure enough it
said "variable white patches are rare but regular on Crows". It has a lot I
need to check out.

Thanks to all who sent me Birthday greetings and to Ted Floyd for getting a
picture of him and I conversing! If you didn't see it I can forward it to you.
