The female Scissor-tailed Flycatcher has not been reported since July 28
and now I have not seen nor heard of any reports of him since last Sunday
when the landowner saw him near the nest site on their property south of
Florence. I found a photo I had taken of the female on July 28 sitting on
the nest and have uploaded it to my Birds and Nature blog
<http://birdsandnature.blogspot.com/>.

Late report of a Ladder-backed Woodpecker I saw in Florence River Park last
week. This is only the second I have seen in riparian habitat though they
are reported to use lowland riparian forests both in and south of the U.S.

And I saw my first of the season migrating Wilson's Warbler in Florence
River Park yesterday. Have seen migrating Western Tanagers, one each, over
the past week in Florence River Park, Canon City Riverwalk and Red Canyon
Park. Landbird migration is on.

Photos of him and the Ladder-backed Woodpecker are also now up on my Birds
and Nature blog. Trying to catch up.
