Greetings All

On this soggy morn, I visited Crow Valley and wandered around for a couple
hours.
At the north end, where the group campground is, a bright Eastern Wood-Pewee
was making forays until set upon by a Western Wood-Pewee. Much noise was made
during the tussle, and afterwards, the Eastern made some clearly Eastern calls,
making me most happy.

Most of the birds I had were in the willow thickets at the south side of Crow
Valley including
20+ Wilson's Warblers
3 MacG Warblers
1 BAW Warbler
1 Ovenbird
2 Redstarts (American, those would be)

At Crow Valley, en todo, I had 8 Swainson's Thrushes, 6 or so Catbirds, a dozen
or so Brown Thrashers, a Townsend's Warbler, another Redstart. No Empids,
vireos, or Blackpolls.

The other highlight of the day was a sweet fresh immature Krider's Red-tailed
Hawk at Weld County Road 59 Ponds.

Good Birding
