ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Righter at Cherry Creek Reservoir from
the east side south of swim beach on October 28.
--A f Surf Scoter was reported by Suddjian at Cooley Lake in South Platte
Park on October 30.

BACA COUNTY:
--Two Winter Wrens were reported by Leatherman below the dam at Two Buttes
on November 3.  They were near where the red rock cliff comes near the
north side of road.  NOTE:  The road below the dam is closed to vehicles
but open to foot traffic.

BOULDER COUNTY:
--A f MAGNIFICENT HUMMINGBIRD was reported by Adam Jack coming to his
feeders in Coal Creek Canyon on October 27 through November 2.  The female
MAGNIFICENT HUMMER returned to the feeders on November 3.  Adam Jack has
asked that visitors not come to his deck so that the hummingbird can feed
freely.
--On October 30, Dowell reported that the Golden-crowned Sparrow has
returned to the Teller Farm trailhead on Valmont Road.  Weeds are tall this
year making it harder to find the bird.  On November 1, Frye reported
Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farm trailhead.
--On November 1, Frye reported "western" Palm Warbler at Teller Farm.
--On November 1, Baron reported 2 White-winged Juncos at Eldorado Open
Space on the Spring Brook Loop North Trail.  This is the same location
where the Grace's Warbler was this summer.

CHAFFEE COUNTY:
--6 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Kellner at Buena Vista Ice Pond on
November 1.

DENVER COUNTY:
--A Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch was reported by Matthew Baker on the far SW
side of Sloan's Lake on October 27.
--A Surf Scoter was reported by Roller in the SE corner of Grasmere Lake in
Washington Park on October 28 and by Kilpatrick on October 29.  The Surf
Scoter was reported by Keithler at Grasmere Lake on October 30.  Brower
reported the Surf Scoter at Washington Park on October 31.

DOUGLAS/JEFFERSON COUNTIES:
--On November 3, Suddjian reported a Red-throated Loon by the shoreline
between Deer Creek Inlet and Massey Draw parking area at Chatfield.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--A Blue-headed Vireo was reported by Farese at Fountain Creek Regional
Park along the path beside Rice's Pond on November 1.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--2 Golden-crowned Sparrows(1 ad, 1 1-st winter) were reported by Cyndy
Johnson at Red Rocks Trading Post on November 1.  On November 2, Chavez
reported 2 Golden-crowned Sparrows at Red Rocks Trading Post.

KIOWA COUNTY:
--A juv Thayer's Gull was reported by Mldinow at Neesopah Reservoir on
November 3.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--A Red-necked Grebe and Lesser Black-backed Gull were reported by Bankert
at Horseshoe Lake in the NW corner on November 1.
--At Fossil Creek, Komar repored Red-necked Grebe on November 1.

MORGAN COUNTY:
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Kaempfer at Jackson Reservoir on October
26.
--A Pine Warbler was reported by Dowell at the campground at Jackson Lake
State Park on November 1.

PARK COUNTY:
--A m American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Suddjian on Hoosier
Pass along CO 9 on October 28.
--At Buffalo Creek Reservoir on October 28, Suddjian report 1 f
White-winged Scoter and 1 f Surf Scoter.  Buffalo Creek Reservoir is near
the start of FR 433 in Pike NF off of US 286 a fews miles north of the
junction with US 24.  On a map it is west of Antero and west of US 285.
--At Antero Reservoir Suddjian reported a Pacific Loon on October 28.
--At Eleven Mile Reservoir, Suddjian reported a McCown's Longspur on
October 28.

PROWERS COUNTY:
--Red-bellied Woodpeckers were reported by Leatherman at Lamar Community
College and Willow Creek Subdivision in Lamar on October 28.

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY:
--A Red-necked Grebe was found by George Steele on October 29 at Miramonte
Reservoir and seen again on October 30 by Dexter and Wright.

YUMA COUNTY:
--At "Pipit Hill" on October 25, Peterson reported a Chestnut-collared
Longspur and 4+ Sprague's Pipits
--At Hale Ponds on October 25, Peterson reported a juv Golden-crowned
Sparrow.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, November 8 will be to South Platte River
Trail at E 88th Ave and I-76 led by Jackie King (jackie.king AT ccd.edu
720-381-3314).  Directions:  Meet at parking area at 88th Ave and South
Platte River Trail at 0830.  From I-76 take E 88th Ave exit, go west on
88th for 1.6 miles, then turn south at Colorado Blvd.  Turn left again into
parking lot for the South Platte River Greenway trailhead.
Accessible for people using wheelchairs.  Half-day trip, lunch is optional;
bring water and snack.  Register on-line or call leader if going.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, November 8 will be the Cherry Creek SP
Welands Loop led by Karen von Saltza (kvonsaltza At yahoo.com or
303-941-4881).  Meet at 0900 at Prairie Loop lot in Cherry Creek S(.  From
either parking entrance, follow Lake View Rod to the Pairie Loop that is
located at the south rim of the reservoir.  State Parks pass or day pass
required.  Approximately 3 mile walk.  The walk is on park trails but can
become slippery when weather is bad.  Dress accordingly.  Bring water,
snacks, binoculars.
