While skiing at Keystone this morning as well as some dedicated birding in the afternoon, I had a nice “Corvid” day seeing 6 species: Am. Crow, Common Raven, Clark’s Nutcracker, Gray Jay, Stellar’s Jay and Black-billed Magpie. In the Wildernest area, there were good numbers of Pine Grosbeak, Pygmy Nuthatch and Mountain Chickadees. At the Blue River water treatment plant there were 4 species of duck along with an American Coot. There was a single female Common Goldeneye but no Barrow’s, at least in the ~3 p.m. time frame.
