[email protected] Subject: The loss of Francie It’s with sadness that I wanted to say that Francie [Frances Sperl] has passed away in early November. She was a member of the Denver field ornithologist for many years. I’m not sure but I think she was also a member of Denver Audubon. It’s really sad as she was my dear friend & birding buddy.
I’ve known Francie for 20 years in that period of time she and I did the Adopt-the Platte River bird survey project. We have also done a number of years CBCs. This was is the area Doublehead Mountain within the count circle of Denver CBC bird the area being Her illness took everyone by surprise. She was not that old of a person.
