After enjoying Monte Vista NWR’s Sandhill Cranes today (300-400), I saw a very
early flock of Lark Sparrows that are pushing the envelope this early, west of
Colo. 15 on farm road RG 2.9 that goes to Rock Creek. Gorgeous warm day.Watch
out for one mud hole on that road. Much later in the spring of 2014, we had an
extraordinary number of Lark Sparrows in Rio Grande County. Virginia Simmons,
Del Norte
