This morning there was a Tundra Swan and a Trumpeter Swan at the Holcim Wetlands, on Rte 120 south of Penrose. The two stayed close together and were rarely more than a few yards apart. This enabled comparing the head shapes in a single scope view (and in a single camera frame.) The Tundra had a large yellow lore spot. They were also here Sunday afternoon but the weather was windy, snowy and getting dark. I returned this morning in bright sunshine to get a better view and some good photos. Rich Miller Canon City
