On a quick jaunt to wake up our cabin from its winter nap, Treva and I were
delighted to see "our" Mountain Bluebird pair has returned to their nest
box, at 9200'.  They are early.  Usually they claim territory in early May
and then delay egg laying until the end of May or even mid-June.  We were
pleased to see a less common male Western Bluebird as well.
