This evening there were 5 Baird's Sandpipers, 2 Semipalmated Plover, 2
American Avocets and one each Willet, Greater Yellowlegs and Spotted
Sandpiper. Add in the screaming and somewhat cranky Killdeer and that comes
to a tidy seven shorebird species...not too bad for May 1.

A solitary White-faced Ibis was snoozing in the area as well.
