>From visiting three spots in Weld County yesterday 5-5, per Dave L's post
Crow Valley was quiet. Most trees budding, some not quite. In my view
a seemingly "early" year has stalled into somewhat normal timetables.
Yellow-shafted Northen Flicker, Great-horned Owl, a Blue Jay convention,
no spring arrivals. I did see a fine-looking McCown's Longspur on the
Pawnee, a Whimbrel at Lower Latham Reservoir (south of the road, west side
of the larger pond), four Cattle Egrets and a Glossy Ibis at Beebe Draw.
