We will reschedule the "Spring" Count from the Audubon Nature Center at Chatfield from today to Monday. We welcome anyone who would like to come along. Meet at the Audubon Nature Center at 6 a.m. Directions on request. Amy Cervene, Urling, and I started out this morning. We left our house in a thunderous rain & lightning storm, but at the Nature Center, only clouds that had momentarily quit dripping. We walked to the Banding Station, where we sat under the shelter during a half-hour of heavy rain, and bailed (pun intended) out. Our morning total for 3 hours: 35 species, 176 birds. Few migrants -- 3 Brewer's Sparrows, 20 Violet-green Swallows, 2 Orange-crowned Warblers, and a Green-tailed Towhee.
Come on out, or reply by phone or email. Hugh Kingery 303 814 2723 Franktown, CO -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
