While doing a waterfowl survey at Hodgson-Harris Reservoir near Flatirons Crossing yesterday morning, I heard the beautiful song of the Eastern Meadowlark, which I grew up with! It was near the dam. Later, I heard a distant Western Meadowlark across highway 36.
This is a lake surrounded by Boulder open space. You have to park outside a fence and walk through a gate put up by a condo complex to see the lake and area around it.
