This afternoon there was one swan way over on the north shore of Leggett 
Reservoir (the NW of the Valmont complex).  I presume that this is one 
continuing bird from those seen at the end of the week by Christian Nunes and 
John Vanderpoel, but perhaps not as it was missed by a couple of parties 
yesterday.  Also of note is a large congregation of Red-breasted Mergansers 
almost all of whom are female.  Last Sunday these birds were on Hillcrest (the 
south one), today I had them on Valmont, the eponymous one of the group.
