Hello, Birders. This morning, Sun., Nov. 22, I saw a strikingly white *Aechmophorus grebe* on Baseline Reservoir, Boulder County. When I first glimpsed the bird in my scope--it was way out there--I thought it was a swan. Then it swam next to a *western grebe.* It's a beautiful bird, that's for sure. I got some poor photos. <http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S25952099> I hope the bird sticks around and comes closer to shore.
Over at Waneka Lake, Boulder County, there's a single *greater white-fronted goose* <http://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/21251201?__hstc=60209138.5e8547b092f9045ee954aef7a4711157.1447811334895.1448227840707.1448235902959.12&__hssc=60209138.4.1448235902959&__hsfp=3355634730> with the immense throng of *cackling geese* and *Canada geese*. Also a *Wilson snipe* hanging on, and a flock of *bushtits.* We will look for these and other birds on The Great Boulder Caper <https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/cobirds/7Qsma9Znqkg>, this coming Friday, Nov. 27.
