As previously reported by Cole Wild on Jan 4., two American Woodcocks were
present again today (this time, observed together) at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area.

While the Ranger, Carl, and I were watching an American Woodcock forage in the
stream around 3:40 PM, Carl noticed that a second bird was present on the
opposite side of the stream, about 5 ft. away from the first. The birds
remained in the same place, within 5-10 ft. of one another, sometimes
motionless, sometimes foraging, and were still present when we departed at 4:45.
