A meadowlark that sings a clear Eastern Meadowlark song but with mostly Western
Meadowlark plumage is on territory on the north side of Union Reservoir, east
of Longmont(Weld County). Along the straight stretch of road on the NW side of
the lake the territory seems to be between the triple wood post on the west
side and a single wood post about 15 fence posts to the east. The bird is easy
to photograph and record. It does not seem to have a mate at this point. Bill
and Inez Prather, Longmont
