Lisa and I did an early trek over the mountain to bird at Lathrop (Huerfano Cty) for the morning. It was ideal and lots of birds to be seen. We found 6 species of warblers including Black-and-white, Orange-crowned, Yellow, Yellowthroat, and Yellow-rumped warblers and Yellow-breasted Chat. Other cool birds included Western Tanager, Thrush spp, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, and Bushtits. We do love birding at Lathrop and it always has a surprise or two!
