A lovely if warm day. Banded 20 plus caught 7 more birds banded in prior
years. Highlights of the day were an Ovenbird, Northern Rough-winged
Swallow, and a pair of Bullock's Orioles, caught together in the net.
 Here's the breakdown:

Dusky Flycatcher 1
Northern Rough-winged Swallow 1
House Wren 2
Gray Catbird 4 new, 1 banded in 2013
Yellow Warbler 2 new, 2 banded in 2016, 3 in 2015
Ovenbird 1
Common Yellowthroat 2
Yellow-breasted Chat 1
Spotted Towhee 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Mountain 3
Bullock's Oriole 1 new, 1 banded in 2015

The banding station runs daily, weather permitting, through June 1 (except
Memorial Day), from 7:00 to approximately 11:30. There have been some
changes in WEEKEND visiting policies - If you are planning a weekend visit,
I strongly encourage you to go to Denveraudubon.org to get more information
and guarantee your spot by PRE-REGISTERING. Weekdays are the same as in the
past - school groups arrive between 9:30 and 10; early weekday mornings are
the best time for a peaceful visit with us and the birds!
