Hi all This past weekend on Saturday the "Classic" tallied 102 bird species within the area bounded by Weld CR 114 (North) x Windsor Lake (East) x Stewart's Pond (South) x Weld CR 59 Marsh (East). I assumed Pawnee was muddy from storms so avoided that area but still got the "100"!
The eventful day was book-ended by Veery at start and Virginia's Warbler as last bird. *Identification Help*: - Ibis?: Pic 1 <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/view/IMG-1071>, Pic 2 <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/view/IMG-1070>, Pic 3 <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/view/IMG-1069> - Flycatcher?: Pic 1 <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/view/IMG-1165>, Pic 2 <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/view/IMG-1164>, Pic 3 <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/view/IMG-1163>, Pic 4 <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/view/IMG-1166> Best Birds: - Virginia's Warbler [Weld CR 37/94 Flooded Riparian Area NW, Nunn, Weld] - Veery [Yard, Nunn, Weld] - Mountain Plover [Lone Tree Creek at Weld CR 110 on North, Nunn, Weld] Pic 1 <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/view/IMG-1037>, Pic 2 <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/view/IMG-1036>, Pic 3 <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/view/IMG-1035> - Chimney Swift [Downtown Greeley, Greeley, Weld] - Tree Swallow [Glenmere Park, Greeley, Weld] - Red-necked Phalarope [600+] [Crom Lake, Stewart's Pond, Weld CR 48, Weld CR 42, Weld CR 59] - White-faced Ibis [69] [Woods Lake, Severance, Weld] All 102 species seen: All Photos <http://coloradobirder.club/m/photos/browse/album/2nd-Annual-Nunn-Guy-Birding-Classic-05-20-2017/> - Gray Catbird - Bluejay - Swainson's Thrush - House Finch - Common Grackle - Hose Sparrow - Red-winged Blackbird - Mourning Dove - Eurasian-collared Dove - Golden Eagle - Great Horned Owl - Loggerhead Shrike - Brown-headed Cowbird - American Robin - Veery - Horned Lark - SWainson's Hawk - European Starling - Cliff Swallow - Eastern Kingbird - Lark Sparrow - Barn Swallow - Killdeer - Bald Eagle - Red-tailed Hawk - Mountain Plover - Song Sparrow - Yellow-rumped Warbler - Bullock's oriole - Western Kingbird - Common Raven - Rock Pigeon - Western Meadowlark - Mallard - White-crowned Sparrow - Lark Bunting - Vesper Sparrow - American Coot - Double-crested Cormorant - Canada Goose - American White Pelican - Western grebe - Great Blue Heron - Yellow Warbler - Gadwall - Blue-winged Teal - White-faced Ibis - Glossy Ibis?? - American Crow - Northern Flicker - Spotted Sandpiper - Red-necked Phalarope - Least Sandpiper - Ring-necked Pheasant - Amerian Avocet - Common Merganser - Wilson's Phalarope - Common Yellowthraot - Yellow-headed Blackbird - Great-tailed Grackle - Forster's tern - Ring-billed Gull - california Gull - Chimney Swift - American kestrel - Western Wood Pewee - Black-crowned Night Heron - Tree Swallow - Black-billed Magpie - Chipping Sparrow - Say's Phoebe - Brewer's Sparrow - House Wren - American Goldfinch - McCown's Longspur - Grasshopper Sparrow - Brown Thrasher - Empid?? - Orange-crowned Warbler - Green-tailed Towhee - Pied-billed Grebe - Ruddy Duck - Western Sandpiper - Greater Yellowlegs - Northern Pintail - Virginia's Warbler Thanks Gary Lefko, Nunn http://coloradobirder.club/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
