Seen by several of us this morning through noon today in pond southeast of parking lot -- along with about a dozen snowy egrets, similar number of American avocets (with young), spotted sandpipers, a western kingbird on her nest, and in another pond just east, a male wood duck in non-breeding plumage. Patrolling over all were scores of cliff, violet-green and barn swallows.
