Hey Cobirders, It was very active early at Clear Spring Ranch banding today, then got hot and slowed down considerably. Only 17 banded today…… that weren’t Chipping Sparrows. A large flock of 40 hit the nets at the same time - then a few more filtered in over the next couple of hours. Whew. Total birds today 71.
Best new birds - although not rare - were a FOS HY Canyon Towhee, and a FOS HY Vesper Sparrow, a late Lazuli Bunting (HYF), an early Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and the ubiquitous Wilson’s Warblers - up to 110 for the season now. Have a good afternoon. Go Broncos. Steve Brown Colo Spgs -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
