Hi all,

This post is mainly to let anyone who was thinking of making the trip to
Pueblo this weekend to see the previously reported juvenile Long-tailed
Jaeger, that the bird seems to be not present this morning - so this post
might save people the long trip. It was quite windy yesterday, and it
likely left then. I scoped all the places I had seen the bird on Monday to
Wednesday and a few other places and no Jaeger to be found. As most of you
know, Pueblo Reservoir is a big reservoir and rare birds that I think are
gone sometimes reappear at some other part of the reservoir (like last
year's adult Black-legged Kittiwake). I will certainly post, if the bird
does show up again.

If anyone does come to Pueblo this fall or winter, please let me know if
you find anything rare, like any scoters, rare loons, or rare gulls, or
anything else. I always try to help other birders see rare things that I
find around here when I can and they ask.

The Jaeger was seen by nine other birders as far as I know, which isn't too
bad for Monday to Wednesday bird.

Good birding,

Brandon K. Percival
