A typical mid-October day at the banding station, except for the second
Mountain Chickadee since 2005. Here's the breakdown of the 17 new birds:

Mountain Chickadee 1
Red-breasted Nuthatch 1
Hermit Thrush 3
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Myrtle 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 3
Chipping Sparrow 2
Song Sparrow 1
Dark-eyed Junco, Slate-colored 1
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1
Dark-eyed Junco, Pink-sided 3

This is our last weekend - We will take down the station after banding on
Sunday. We are opening nets at 7 a.m. and should have birds back at the
station before 7:45. We will close most days by about 11:30. School groups
arrive most weekdays at about 9:30.
