Hey, all. No earth-shattering rarities to report, but here are some odds and ends from around eastern Boulder County this past week:
*Valmont Reservoir, Fri., Nov. 10.* 2 *common loons.* *McIntosh Lake, Sat., Nov. 11.* 6 *Bonaparte gulls,* 1 *marsh wren,* 1 *myrtle warbler.* *Boulder Creek @ 95th St., Sat., Nov. 11.* 2 *snow geese.* *Waneka Lake, Wed., Nov. 15.* 1 *swamp sparrow.* *Panama Reservoir, Sat., Nov. 18.* 1 *Pacific loon; American white pelicans* and *eared grebes* still hanging on. Also, several "sports" "men" killing geese; they would shoot from their blind at the birds sitting in the water, then send their dog after the dying birds. Cheap thrills, I guess. *Waneka Lake & environs, Sat., Nov. 18.* 1 *snow x Canada goose, Wilson snipe* and *killdeer* continuing, 1 *prairie falcon,* 5 *red crossbills* that definitely weren't Type 2 and probably weren't Type 5 either.
