Lots of visitors today, and a nice variety of birds to keep us occupied.
Treats of the day were 3 flycatcher species - Western Wood-pewee, Least and
Dusky Flycatchers - in the same run, which made for a great educational
experience, and a lovely pair of Bullock's Orioles (FOS). Here's the
breakdown for the day:

Western Wood-pewee 1
Least Flycatcher 1
Dusky Flycatcher 1
Black-capped Chickadee 1, banded 2017
American Robin 1
Gray Catbird 4
Yellow Warbler 4 new, 3 returns, 1 banded in each 2015, 16, and 17
Yellow-breasted Chat 2
Song Sparrow 1
Red-winged Blackbird 1 return, still searching for banding date
Bullock's Oriole 2
Lesser Goldfinch 1

Come visit! Station is open daily, weather permitting, through the end of
May, except for Memorial Day. We open nets about 6:30 and close around
noon. If you would like to visit on a weekend, you must pre-register - go
to the Audubon Society of Greater Denver website. Perhaps the best time for
birders to visit is early in the morning during the week - fewer people and
more birds! (School groups arrive each day between 10:00 and 10:30.)
